Outdoor fire hydrants are divided into ground fire hydrants and underground fire hydrants according to the setting conditions.

(1) Above-ground fire hydrants: Some of the above-ground fire hydrants are exposed on the ground, with obvious targets, easy to find, and convenient operation of water discharge. They are suitable for areas with high temperature, but the above-ground fire hydrants are easy to freeze and easily damaged, and in some cases, they hinder traffic and affect the city appearance. There are two models, one is SS100 and the other is SS150.

(2) Underground fire hydrant: The underground fire hydrant is set in the fire hydrant well, which has the advantages of not being frozen, not easily damaged, and convenient for transportation, and is suitable for use in the cold northern regions. However, the operation of the underground fire hydrant is inconvenient and the target is not obvious. Therefore, it is required to set up obvious signs next to the underground fire hydrant. There are three types of underground fire hydrants, namely SX65, SX100 and SX65-10.
