What is the water supply pipe for outdoor fire fighting?

Commonly used pipes for fire-fighting water supply systems mainly include ductile iron pipes, welded steel pipes, seamless steel pipes, copper pipes, stainless steel pipes, alloy pipes and composite pipes. Plastic pipes can also be used as fire-fighting water supply pipes. Strict restrictions.

1. Ductile iron pipes are mainly used for buried pipelines in front of the alarm valve of automatic sprinkler systems and buried pipelines of fire hydrant systems. The specifications of ductile iron pipes commonly used in fire engineering are DN40 ~ DN250.

2. Welded steel pipes for fire water supply systems can be divided into ordinary welded steel pipes and hot-dip galvanized welded steel pipes.

(1) Ordinary welded steel pipes are suitable for buried pipelines of fire hydrant water supply systems; pipes in front of alarm valves of automatic sprinkler systems and water spray fire extinguishing systems require additional filters before alarm valves. When the welded steel pipe is used in the ground, anti-corrosion treatment should be carried out according to the relevant requirements, otherwise it is easy to rust and affect the service life.

(2) Hot-dip galvanized welded steel pipe is suitable for buried and overhead pipes of fire hydrant water supply system, automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing system and water spray fire extinguishing system. When it is used underground, anti-corrosion measures should also be considered.

3. According to its production process, seamless steel pipes are mainly divided into two types: hot rolling and cold drawing. According to the material, it can be divided into ordinary carbon steel, high-quality carbon steel, ordinary low-alloy steel and alloy structural steel.

Seamless steel pipes have good pressure bearing capacity. In fire water supply systems, they are often used as main pipes or pipes in the lower part of the system where the working pressure is higher.
